Updated COVID policies for Friendcon 2022
In regards to our COVID policies and procedures, we’re making some changes this year, trying to keep your safety in mind.
Similar to last year, we will be requiring masks in the convention space, with allowance to take it off momentarily in order to drink from a beverage. In addition, vaccination will be required to attend the convention.
A slight change this year is that no foods will be allowed in the convention space, and no space will be set aside to sit and eat in the convention, there is plenty of seating in the hotel lobby area that can accommodate you.
One new requirement this year is that we will be requiring a negative COVID test prior to attendance of FriendCon.
This can be done one of two ways;
1. Results of a PCR test taken 1-3 days prior to 7/22/22, showing a clean bill of health, or
2. A rapid test taken at the door during registration
For rapid tests, we will attempt to provide enough tests for those who do not bring their own. Again, we at Friendcon do our best to ensure members are safe when attending the con.
Please reach out to the board of directors (https://friendcon.com/about/) if you have any questions about these policies or anything else related to the organization.
